Frequently Asked Questions About Our Training Courses And Programme
1. Does my Registration fee cover everything?
Registration fee is as stated for the Course. Course fee includes tuition, materials and refreshments. We are NOT responsible for covering any accommodation, airfare or other travel costs incurred by registrants.
2. How do I book?
Please complete the registration form (found either in Online Registration or from the Downloads section of this website). The form can then be either submitted online, or posted to Room 1502, 15th floor, 101 King's Road, North Point, Hong Kong, or faxed to (852) 3747.3813.
3. How and when do I pay for the Registration fee?
To reserve your seat(s), please complete and forward your full payment of the fee by Paypal or by cheque to "George Miller Limited" at Room 1502, 15th floor, 101 King's Road, North Point, Hong Kong. No cancellation of registration can be made upon receipt of our fax / email confirmation.
Full registration payment should be made 7 working days prior to the commencement date of the Course.
4. How long will it take? What is the timing of your courses?
A typical Course is for 3 CPD hours and runs either from 9:30 am - 12:45 pm (registration time: 9:15 am) for AM Session or from 2:30 pm - 5:45 pm (registration time: 2:15 pm) for PM Session.
For Practising Lawyers who are required to obtain CPD points, please bring with you your Law Society membership card to sign in and sign out at the CPD Courses. Please note that the Law Society only allows a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals for any CPD Courses (regardless of duration of the Course) and thereafter, apart from scheduled breaks, no CPD points shall be awarded to any participant who is absent from the Course. Any Course participant who arrives after 10 minutes or leaves before the end of the Course shall not receive any CPD points for that Course.
We would like to remind you that if you are late for more than 10 minutes or are absent for ANY MINUTE during the course (for whatever reason), you will receive no CPD points. Therefore, please be ON TIME and DO NOT LEAVE during any session if you want your CPD points.
5. What happens if I am unable to attend a course?
Attendance is a CPD requirement and an integral part of your studies. You are expected to attend all Courses. If you are unable to attend please contact our training consultants on (852) 2151.1375 or in writing at email@example.com not less than 7 working days prior to the commencement date of the Course so we could offer a choice of alternative Courses on different dates. You may also make a substitution of attendees not less than 7 working days prior to the commencement date of the Course.
For no-show Course reservations without written or verbal notice received within 48 hours prior to the commencement date of the Course, full course fees will remain payable and an invoice will be issued for the full course fee and such payment shall be due within 14 days of the date of invoice. For subscribers of CPD packages, a full CPD Points of such Course will be immediately deducted from your subscribed plan without further notice.
George Miller Limited reserves the right to make alterations or cancel any Courses without advance notice due to the nature of a Course business. If a Course is rescheduled and the registrant cannot attend the rescheduled Course, that Course fees will not be refunded but can be transferred to another Course to be held within 12 months of the date of the rescheduled Course, and the registrant or another person nominated by him / her can attend such Course.
6. Where is the Course venue?
All Courses will be held at The Joint Professional Centre, Unit 1, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong unless otherwise specified. See Location Map
7. What refreshments are available during workshops?
All our Courses are served with tea or coffee, fruit tart, sandwiches and dim sum.
8. Is there a smoking and recording policy on George Miller Courses?
Yes, all venues are subject to a strict non-smoking policy. Unauthorized recording during Course is not allowed.
9. Do I get an attendance certificate to show I have completed the Course?
Yes, for all programmes, you will be awarded an Attendance Certificate upon successful completion showing the CPD units awarded. You will also receive a George Miller's Official Receipt after the Course.
10. How much does in-house training cost?
