Aigle x Nigel Cabourn World Wide Launch at kapok

Everything changes through time; whether its just a teeny tiny alteration that is barely visible to the eye or that a tremendous lot is made different, causing the birth of completely new definitions.

Aigle, the brand that was once known for their workwear and rubber boots always seemed to only appeal to those who often had to experience rain whilst out, as that is their core targeted market. Yet as time goes by, with ‘go out’ apparels becoming a trend and a fashionable style that attracts a wide variety of individuals; the classic brand began to morph into something much more fashion forward, while still maintaining their quality in the production of fabrics, garments, boots and bag products.

Inspired distinguishably by vintage French workwear and tradition British hunting gears; Aigle is working in hands with Nigel Cabourn this season in releasing their newest collaborative collection, which will be exclusively available at kapok from the 29th of August 2014.

Consisting of long jackets for men, such as models Le Bricard which is a 3/4 length zipped down parka made from wax cotton toile and 100% cotton weave and Le Galibot, a Donkey jacket with leather yoke on the back and the shoulders; there is also the Le Veneur fishing jacket for men and the La Wader fishing jacket for women.

With features like detachable hoods, functional details and different collar styles; the apparels fail not in becoming an essential for an ordinary day out.

Our favourite is the women’s collection, including items such as the La Redingote wax cotton toile navy outer layer and the La Bleue dress. Long and causal, both items are made in a versatile navy blue tone with full lines of buttons for the cooler seasons. With all products made in France, a traditional authentic- ness seems to seam through effortlessly.

Not to mention, the classic Le Godiot rubber boots for men, the La Guetre rubber boots and Le Rigodon rubber boots for women all complete a classy look that screams sophistication and comfort. With details including buckles, laces, full grain insole and cotton lining; its not hard to imagine matching these boots with regular denim shorts and a tshirt or blouse for a casual day out.
